The cost for an initial assessment with the ADHD Specialist is £1,300 for children and young people and £1,300 for adults. Assessments usually takes 3 hours to complete.
If an ADHD diagnosis is concluded at the end of the assessment, we also offer a post diagnostic psychoeducational session, which includes:
A discussion about psychosocial interventions to manage ADHD including the many therapeutic interventions we offer such as ADHD coaching, psychological therapy and group-based support.
In-depth discussion about pharmacological interventions (medication) to manage ADHD.
You will also receive an ADHD Diagnostic Pack with resources and psychoeducational leaflets about ADHD including handy self-help guides, recommended further reading list and where to access further support. If you prefer to receive this pack electronically, this can be emailed to you.
As part of your assessment, you will receive a full detailed diagnostic letter with the main clinical presentation, diagnosis and a suggested treatment plan.
* Although we will aim to complete your assessment in the 3 hour appointment, sometimes it will take longer to allow a full exploration of your symptoms and history in order to make an accurate diagnosis.
You can help us by completing all paperwork and questionnaires that you are sent in advance, and by being clear what questions you want to be answered during the appointment.
There will be extra charges for any additional time spent with the ADHD Specialist and this will be discussed with you at the time.
Post Diagnostic Pharmacological care
If required the cost for follow-up consultations lasting up to 60 minutes with the ADHD Specialist Practitioner are £200 for an initial medication consultation and £175 for subsequent titration/follow up consultations.
We can also offer a repeat prescription service which will be charged at £30 per repeat prescription.
If you have a follow-up appointment then this cost will be included in the follow-up fee and therefore not charged in addition.
Once your treatment plan is in place and you are happy with your treatment then we can help to facilitate a transfer of care to your GP if they are happy to take over your care.
Under the terms of a standard shared care agreement, in accordance with NICE guidelines, your GP will usually require you to still be seen by your ADHD Specialist at least once every six months for a review of treatment, which will be charged at the same rate as a standard follow-up an appointment.
